SPAGHETTI DINNER RECAP

This was our first attempt at an “Outreach Spaghetti Dinner”, and it was a great success!!! We served over 100 dinners to those who attended along with others that couldn’t come, but had pre-ordered takeout dinners.

Thanks to all who worked so hard to have everything work smoothly and to all who came and support this worthy project. Special thanks to Diane and Del Fraipont, who made 300 meatballs with sauce for this dinner, and it was awesome! I’d like to say thank you also to Rev.
Lennox, who changed his moving date so he could be apart of this terrific event. It was wonderful to see so many from our community that came and supported this Outreach dinner including many from Wesley Robins Retirement Village.

I was truly overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of all involved! With your help $1,385 will be donated to Hospice Niagara Welland. WOW, this is wonderful beyond words!

We also had lots of ” Shelter Meals” to donate to the Hope Centre along with full containers of meatballs and veggies with sauce as we had nearly 600 meatballs ready for the dinner. The Hope Centre was overjoyed with our donation!

Thank you all so very much. With your help we were able to help “Hospice Niagara Welland “, the “Hope Centre ” and we all had fun and enjoyed a wonderful meal together! Thank You!!!

BOOK REVIEW AND FELLOWSHIP MAY 19TH
The next book review and fellowship sponsored by the “Library Committee’s Love of Books” will be on May 19th when Antonette Scarlett will be discussing her recently published book “My Journey to Wholeness: A Poetic Memoir”.

Please pick up your goodies coffee and or tea and join us in the Library to hear Antonette discuss this book. Hoping you can join us where our motto is “WE PROMOTE GREAT BOOKS TO READ”.

There are still openings on the sign up list and encourage people to consider doing a review for a book they have read. It does not have to be a book from the church library.
